Health Screening & Medical Support
People living in poverty and unsanitary conditions in third world countries most often have no access to any kind of healthcare.
Countries in Africa which suffer from droughts and lack of safe drinking water, poor hygiene is a main cause for concern, leading to many diseases. For this reason we as Time to Help UK have been working on building water wells for those communities most in need:

Time to Help UK provided support for emergency medical care during their disaster relief projects such as the Nepal earthquake and the Gaza attacks: http://www.timetohelp.org.uk/nepal-earthquake-appeal/. We have also accomplished projects to ease the suffering of people with cataract in Pakistan, Nepal and some African countries: http://www.timetohelp.org.uk/cataract/.
At present Time to Help UK is aiming to organise medical trips in the near future to third world countries, mainly Africa, during which volunteers with medical training will provide health screening, medication and medium level surgical procedures to people who are in desperate need for such services.
The volunteer medical teams will assess the healthcare needs of the local community via a health screening project to identify any widespread diseases and the most urgent support needed. Medical help will be administered, and medication dispensed to those in need. Later on the training of local medical professionals will be realised by organising trips for volunteer medical teams to teach courses to improve the knowledge and the medical equipment of local health care centres.
