Last Saturday in Kajjansi, Uganda, we celebrated the graduation of 37 incredible women from our Tailoring course! 👗🩵

Not only did they earn their nationally recognised tailoring certificates, but some graduates were also gifted sewing machines to kickstart their careers straight away. 🧵🪡 These tools, combined with their hard work and determination, will open doors to jobs, small businesses, and brighter futures. 🌍💙

Big News from Uganda 🇺🇬☺️💛

Over the past year, we’ve been running our Tailoring Skills Hub in Uganda, a three-month course where we fund women to undergo training in tailoring, take an exam, and graduate with a nationally recognised certificate.

Now, some of these amazing graduates have taken things further. At Time to Help UK we’ve partnered with our graduates to design and produce our very own Cycle Safe pads! These are reusable sanitary pads made locally in Uganda. Each pack comes with four pads and a small bag, lasts up to two years, and meets the Uganda National Bureau of Standards for quality.

And the pads they’ve made are already making a difference! Our volunteers from the UK are currently in Uganda and have distributed them to 200 students at Bahati High School in Kampala.

It’s the start of something sustainable: women gaining skills, creating secure livelihoods, and young girls getting access to safe period products.

This is what long-term change looks like. 💜
